Joshua Park is completing his sophomore year studying computer science at Calvin University in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He grew up as a missionary kid living in Ecuador, South Korea and most recently the Dominican Republic, where his parents continue their ministry. In high school, he created an app specifically to help his grandmother back home in South Korea. He also enjoys graphic and visual design. Joshua wants to serve as a summer intern with SonSet Solutions to engage in technical work that advances the gospel worldwide. It also gives him a unique opportunity to pursue on-the-job spiritual and professional growth, while working in a missions context. Joshua will assist with the research and development of equipment and solutions to meet the real-world needs of our ministry partners.
He shares that, “Since high school, my aspiration has been to honor God by establishing an outreach design firm focused on crafting essential relief products like water filters, solar-powered lightbulbs, and microplastic collectors. Encountering SonSet Solutions resonated deeply with my long-standing vision. While my dream of launching an outreach firm lacked a clear roadmap, I view SonSet Solutions as a platform to immerse myself in technology-based ministry. I aim to leverage this experience to refine my goals and play a role in advancing the Kingdom of God through meaningful contributions.”
