Ethan Fiore just graduated with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. Ethan is exploring the idea of working in Christian ministry because he wants to give everything to God while also using his skills in electrical engineering. Ethan will be working in the Broadcast Services Department learning every phase and technical aspect of the radio planting process, from assembling and testing transmitters and antennas to installation of the radio station to the electronic circuit diagnosis and repair.
Ethan first prayed the sinner’s prayer when he was about 6 years old. Ethan “knew the Gospel story, but I didn’t really have faith or a real relationship with God at the time. I grew in Bible knowledge and understanding from that point on, but really didn’t have any heart change. I actually started my life with God after I went on a mission trip when I was 16 years old. After getting back home, I looked back at my mission trip experience, and found that it was the best week of my life. I was confused about why I felt that way, and I eventually concluded that my mission trip was special because I spent the entire week devoted to God. From that point on, I decided that I wanted to live my life for God all the time. That was when I found out how valuable it is to have an actual relationship with God and not just knowledge about Him. Since then I have been serving in church and college campus ministries almost continuously.”
