Sandra’s life was a turbulent start that turned around because of a new opportunity. At just 15 years old in Gulu, Uganda, she had hit rock bottom, her days filled with drugs and stealing, desperate attempts to numb the pain. Every fleeting moment of false hope only plunged her deeper into despair, and it seemed there was no way out.
One day, Sandra’s life took an unexpected turn. Her mom heard about God’s Institute for Transformation (GIFT) over the radio station Favor FM. Both Favor FM and GIFT are ministries of Favor International. GIFT offered her not just a lifeline but a start to a new life in Christ. They saw beyond her brokenness and extended an opportunity that would change everything. GIFT, an organization dedicated to giving children and young adults restoration, welcomed her. Favor International founded this ministry to provide individuals a new life. This includes housing, clothing, work opportunities, and discipleship. They demonstrate the love of Jesus by providing a welcoming environment where individuals receive physical and mental support.
Through this ministry of restoration, Sandra was introduced to concepts foreign to her — God’s love, forgiveness, and His word. The organization seeks to help individuals through discipleship and leadership development through the power of the gospel. Sandra’s story is a powerful example of how God seeks after us even in our brokenness. For Sandra, the gift of the gospel was not just a message but a lifesaving miracle. Our partner, Favor International, has many other inspiring stories about individuals’ transformations because of the gospel, both through GIFT and their radio station, showcasing powerful journeys of faith, redemption, and personal growth.
