The body of Christ is made up of individuals with unique gifts, all working together to accomplish the Lord’s purposes. During my Discover program at SonSet Solutions, I saw this truth come alive in profound ways. God used my engineering abilities alongside the skills of our team to help advance the gospel through technology. As I watched our tools equip ministry partners around the world, I began to understand how my own gifts play a role in God’s larger mission.
One of the clearest examples came during my trip to Kenya. I traveled with a team from SonSet Solutions to assist our partner, Kijani Farm. Kijani Farm serves the Maasai people through work, church, water, healthcare, and education. Our task was to extend their Starlink connection across the property so every building could access reliable internet. This upgrade would allow their staff to work more efficiently, manage records more easily, and expand learning opportunities. As one of our team members put it, “by investing deeply in their relationships with the Maasai, the gospel becomes transformative – not through grand gestures, but through consistent, faithful presence.”
Partnerships like this are central to SonSet Solutions. With that in mind, I attended the One Accord conference, where I helped cultivate relationships with ministries in the WASH (WAter, Sanitation and Hygiene) sector. The capabilities of our SonSetLink® water monitors opened the door to meaningful conversations about how we could support their work and respond to their technical challenges.
Much of my Discover program centered on developing the newest — and most advanced — model of the SonSetLink. Built for our partner Water Mission, this version provides more precise borehole data and expanded sensor inputs, addressing key monitoring needs in their water projects that are used to proclaim the gospel. Contributing to this effort affirmed that my gifts have a place in the work God is doing.
Through these experiences, I discovered how God is calling me to serve. That is why, after completing the Discover program, I chose to step into long‑term ministry with SonSet Solutions.
