Electrical Engineer

Use your electrical engineering skills to create technology solutions that advance the gospel around the world. Design and develop innovative tools that facilitate the communication of the gospel in diverse geographical settings and ministry frameworks. Work with our core technology teams to envision and implement appropriate electronic systems to meet the needs of our partners.

Qualifications – Excels in analytical thinking and creative solution design. Proficiency in electrical design and implementation and proficiency in CAD tools, test equipment, and circuit level troubleshooting. Knowledgeable in applications such as internet-of-things, digital embedded systems, power distribution, and renewable power implementations. Ability to work in small, multidisciplinary teams where ingenuity, flexibility, and a passion to serve others are highly valued. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Availability for occasional travel to assist ministry partners on-site.

Responsibilities – Apply electrical/electronic hardware and embedded software design and other creative skills to the development of innovative tools. Research new technologies. Implement and test hardware designs and prototypes. Design, code and test embedded software. Integrate and test hardware and software solutions. Participate in system support and maintenance of equipment when required. Participate in student initiatives and intern supervision, training, and mentoring.

Fundamental Requirements – Be a born-again follower of Jesus Christ with a heart for service, passionate for the advancement of the gospel around the world, and willing to uphold the SonSet Solutions Statement of Faith.

This is a full-time or part-time position, either at our offices in Elkhart, Indiana, or working remotely. For supported staff, it requires the development of ministry partnerships for prayer and financial backing. A volunteer may also fill this position.
