Hazen Swenson is a senior electrical engineering student at Cedarville University in Cedarville, Ohio. He grew up in Newport, Vermont, before moving to Papua New Guinea as a missionary kid when he was around 11 years old. There, he had the privilege of witnessing discipleship and Bible translation in a remote village, as well as seeing the importance of a strong logistical support structure for missionaries serving in isolated locations.
At Cedarville University, Hazen has received solid technical training as an engineer along with spiritual encouragement from both faculty and peers to grow in his knowledge of the Lord. As he looks toward graduating in December 2026, he desires to serve the Lord both in his personal life and through his professional work. When he learned about SonSet Solutions and its mission to support ministries around the world, he became interested in pursuing an internship to see what it looks like to serve as an engineer in a full-time ministry role. He is excited to see what the Lord has planned for him at SonSet Solutions and looks forward to growing both as an engineering student and in his ability to serve others through ministry.
