Owen Ridings is a junior computer science major at LeTourneau University in Longview, Texas. Originally from Austin, Texas, Owen is a proud homeschool graduate and is grateful for the influence of both his lifelong home church, Christ the King Presbyterian, and the church he attends while at school, Sovereign Life Fellowship. He is an officer in the LeTourneau Pro-Life Club, enjoys reading and birdwatching, and is passionate about coaching competitive Christian speech and debate. He is excited to join SonSet's community development team for the summer of 2026.
Owen says, "The power of technology is often used for personal gain, worthless entertainment, or even outright evil. But the Gospel takes captive every area of life—technology included—and transforms it into a part of God's redemptive plan. The concept of technology as missions is truly exciting to me. I may not be gifted in preaching or learning foreign languages, but SonSet offers me a chance to participate in the global mission of the redeemed—by using my technical skills! I think that's an awesome way to spend a summer."
