“It has helped me through some of the toughest times in my life,” said Lweendo Hafwembe, a listener of One Love Radio in Zambia, as he shared about the impact of one of their radio programs. “The stories shared on the show have given me hope and inspiration when I needed it most. My spiritual life has been changed too. I am now a believer.”
With their five radio stations across Zambia and their numerous radio programs, One Love reaches out to countless people like Lweendo with the hope of the gospel.
SonSet Solutions has had a rich partnership with this ministry over the years, our work with them dating back to 2014 when we provided them with the equipment to help set up their first station.
More recently, over the past few years, we have been able to send them two shipments of SonSet® radios, empowering their outreach to people throughout the country.
One such people is the Mandarin Chinese, a people group of 58,000 in Zambia with the number of Christians being less than 10%. Additionally, this people group faces growing hostility from native Zambians, many of whom resent their presence in the country.
A missionary from Taiwan named Vicky Tzu-i-wu has been working in Zambia to spread the gospel among the Chinese there. She received some SonSet radios and has been distributing them to these people, allowing them to tune in to the Mandarin program that airs on One Love Radio every day at 11PM.
We are excited to continue partnering with One Love in their vibrant and diverse ministry. We are planning to send them an additional 2,000 radios later this year. With an increase in global migration, we are reaching people groups in places we never would have expected. Praise the Lord with us for these growing opportunities!
