Tyler Larsen is completing his third year studying engineering physics at Gordon College in Wenham, Massachusetts. He hails from Wheaton, Illinois. Tyler wants to serve as a summer intern with SonSet Solutions to engage in technical work that advances the gospel worldwide. It also gives him a unique opportunity to pursue on-the-job spiritual and professional growth, while working in a missions context. Tyler will assist with the research and development of equipment and solutions to meet the real-world needs of our ministry partners.
He shares that, “While I was at the Urbana 22 Student Missions Conference, the Lord moved my heart to apply to an internship position where I could gain experience and use my passion for engineering for the Kingdom of God. When I met Mike Tapia at SonSet Solutions' booth, he told me a little bit about SonSet Solutions' work in ministry and I felt really excited to apply. Also, I grew up hearing from my grandpa, Chuck Howard, about his work with HCJB and I've always been inspired by him and his passion as a missionary. I see this internship as an opportunity to finally get involved with something I've only heard about my whole life.”
