Navigating the terrain to the health clinic in Wafa Village was arduous. Jordan and his three national employees drove through rivers and hiked several miles before reaching the Wafa River.

It began with excited children at a church in the United States and ended with curious children crowded around the installation of solar-powered technology in a church in Tanzania.

This technology is changing the way we think about water and changing the communities where it is deployed.

In June of 2022, Radio Ashe Illeret went on the air. Government officials, Bible translators, NGOs, pastors and the community from as far away as the Ethiopian border gathered for the dedication.

“The greatest need [challenge] at most churches we’ve planted is lack of power,” said Bishop Williams Yindi, founder of Unreached Peoples Mission (UPM) in Tanzania.

When I took the job as the engineering professor at Bethel University in 2012, I knew my first field trip would be to SonSet Solutions.

What if we didn’t have access to Christian bookstores or apps or couldn’t download things on the web? Even worse – what if we couldn’t read at all?

Sylvia says, “We often get feedback from local pastors saying that they never had formal Bible training and listening to The Cross is like their opportunity to attend Bible school.”

We bring our experience and knowledge together to help tackle Kingdom-wide computer concerns, lift each other up with prayer and technical council, and exchange information to help each other throughout the year.
